In the early hours on Monday, mob attacked officials of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency  (SEMA), who were on rescue mission at the scene of a suicide bomb attack in Maiduguri. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the incident occurred at Londonciki-Simari area of Maiduguri, where a female suicide bomber attacked a mosque killing eight worshippers while 15 others sustained injuries. The youths that attacked the SEMA Emergency Rapid Response team dispatched to evacuate corpses and render assistance to the blast victims, were said to be angered by recent spate of suicide bombings  in Maiduguri. It was heard that some of the mob was chanted slogans against relief officials, saying, "Leave, we do not need your assistance." The young adults allegedly armed with club and sticks, smashed one of SEMA vehicles and prevented the team from carrying out its mission. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for its brand of opposition against President Muhammadu Buhari's governance, saying it cannot fulfill its campaign promises in just four years. The party disclosed this in a statement released through its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi on Sunday, July 16, 2017. In a press statement release by The Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Sunday deposed the suspended Baale of Shangisha in Magodo, Chief Yusuf Ogundare for faking his abduction which allegedly took place on July 5 along Center for Management Development (CMD) Road in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of the State. The Governor had last Friday suspended the Baale moments after he was paraded alongside his brother, Mohammed Adams by the Lagos State Police Command for conspiring to fake the alleged kidnap. It was suspected that the fire outbreak that claimed 12 lives could have been as a result of criminal activities of siphoning petrol from the tank farm. The Calabar fire outbreak has killed at least 12 persons and injured many others. Cross River State, Punch reports. The incident was said to have occurred on Sunday, July 16 at one of the tank farms located in the Calabar Free Trade Zone. The Free Trade Zone, which is situated in on of the community, Esuk-Utan, is said to be host to several tank farms belonging to different companies in the country. The fire allegedly started around 4am in the early hours on Sunday and affected tank farms around Dozy Oil depots in the free trade zone as well as other nearby facilities. The high-tension cable and the transformer inside the depot, together with two vehicles and other facilities in the area were said to have been burnt to the ground.
