Roger Federer Becomes The First Man To Win Eight Wimbledon Singles Titles


The tennis super star, Father of four Roger Federer on Sunday defeated Marin Cilic 6-3 6-1 6-4 to become the first man to win eight Wimbledon singles titles.

The tennis super star appearing in his 11th Wimbledon final, was seriously challenged by Cilic early enough. But once he broke a nervous Marin in the fifth game of the opening set he breezed through the match.

This victory made the tennis super star became the oldest men’s singles champion at Wimbledon in the professional era with his 19th title and 8th Wimbledon crown respectively.

FG set to stop production of Nigerian movies, music abroad | Lai Mohammed says

Lai Mohammed, made this known on Saturday in Lagos when he paid a visit to the headquarters of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON). The Federal Government says it has taken steps to amend the Nigeria Broadcasting Code to discourage the production of Nigerian movies and music outside the shore of the country. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed , made this known on Saturday in Lagos when he paid a visit to the headquarters of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON).  Lai Mohammed   decried the situation whereby films, reality TV shows and music, were made outside Nigeria, for consumption by Nigerians. well, The Minister said the situation had hampered empowerment of practitioners in the industry, the development of the sector and the nation’s economy as at large.
